In order to live in the real world with Miaka, Taka has lost all his memories of being Tamahome. Fushigi Yuugi OVA 2 centers around finding the stones of memory that each of the other Suzaku seishi possess. Tenkou, the nemesis from OVA 1, was never fully destroyed, and continues to plot against the seishi in order to become a god.
